Jim Caudle
CEO and Chairman

Jim D. Caudle, Jr. is Chairman and CEO of Carina Technology, Inc. Jim has also served as Chairman and CEO of United Plating Inc. (ISO 9001:2000 certified), which has eleven production facilities for metal finishing, anodizing, and painting. Through United Plating, Jim has gained extensive knowledge and direct experience in all aspects of operations, manufacturing, and customer relationship management for large accounts in multiple industries including Aerospace, Military, Industrial, and Telecommunication. Jim is a member of Bosch Supplier Leadership Team, The Alabama Automobile Manufacturer's Association and the Automotive Industry Action Group. He is also a member of the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce Existing Business Committee, Huntsville Leadership Class 8, National Association of Metal Finishers, Young Presidents Organization, Young Business Leaders of Huntsville, and Ramey Forum. He is a past President of the Huntsville Acme Club and served on the Board of the Huntsville Metropolitan YMCA. Jim holds a BS from Auburn University. He is past Huntsville Chairman of the Auburn Alumni Association Scholarship Committee.

Clint Caudle

President and Director of Software Development

Clint joins Carina from healthcare IT giant Epic where he worked as a software engineer on the cardiology team. Clint graduated from Vanderbilt University majoring in Computer Science and Economics with a minor in Corporate Strategy. Clint is a full-stack software engineer covering everything from embedded systems to user-interface design.

Pete Harbin

SVP of Marketing & Sales

Prior to joining Carina, Mr. Harbin worked for more than 20 years in the retail utility market at Huntsville Utilities where he was Operations Superintendent managing 122 employees and responsible for construction and maintenance of substations, transmission, and distribution. Following Huntsville Utilities, Mr. Harbin was Vice President of a small manufacturer company and was responsible for design, manufacturing, and national contract negotiations. Additionally, Mr. Harbin formed his own company where he recruited a national team of sales representatives to position his patented products in the marketplace. Mr. Harbin is the inventor or co-inventor on 4 patents. Mr. Harbin received a Bachelor's of Science in Management Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and was involved in the Certified Power Executive program with TVPPA.

Dean Johnston
CFO

Mr. Johnston has extensive banking and industry experience as a lender and financial officer as well as experience in business development for start-up companies. He was heavily involved in the development of three successful business ventures prior to joining Carina. At Carina, Mr. Johnston is responsible for accounting, procurement, contract administration, and financial planning. He also serves as liaison to Carina's shareholders. Mr. Johnston received a Bachelor's of Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alabama.

Bill Lichtner
Director of Customer Relations

Bill graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and from Roosevelt University with an MBA. His work experience includes marketing & sales, product development, purchasing, and applications engineering in both the commercial and federal markets. Bill’s extensive experience in customer service, sales representative management, and demand response devices contributes to Carina’s ongoing commitment in providing unmatched customer support as well as cutting-edge technical solutions. Bill has trained and certified a multitude of utility personnel and installation contractors for all of Carina’s products and is the primary contact for any questions or concerns related to Carina’s offerings of end to end solutions for the energy industry.

Ryan Scoggins
Project Manager

Ryan works as Project Manager for Carina where he handles projects ranging from IT infrastructure to market positioning. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Business Administration where he served as the ambassador for his class. His duties include manufacturer coordination, database modification and improvement, product enhancement, and database server reinforcement.
